The Scrambler’s engine can be a lot of fun, but you have to unlock it with a few performance upgrades before you can really appreciate what it’s capable of.
On Pamela, we removed the air box and air injection system to improve the air/fuel ratio and start boosting the power. Then we installed a BC X Empire Shotgun Exhaust to help make the exhaust freer flowing and to give the bike a burly sound. To finish maximizing the horsepower, a Dyno Jet Power Commander V was installed, and a custom fuel map was created for the bike.
All the upgrades in this series can be installed over a weekend, and naturally go together as single projects. If you’re curious about how some of these parts are put on, check out our list of step-by-step installation guides. If you’re inspired to create your own custom Weekend Project, check out our Weekend Projects page to select your model and get started.
