The newest Triumph Modern Classics, from the Bonneville T120 to the Bobber, leave less room between the cylinder head and the throttle body covers, so a Triumph engine guard built for the older bikes will not clear. The 3 Point Engine Guard has been redesigned to fit, and it is available for pre-order now, expected to ship by November 30. That is an estimate, not a guaranteed ship date. It bolts on in 45 to 60 minutes with no drilling or trimming, and it reduces the impact to your engine cases and cylinder heads in a tip over or low speed drop. New Triumphs Are Tighter. The Triumph Engine Guard Had To Change.

You want engine guards on your Triumph Modern Classic. But the newest bikes leave less room between the cylinder head and the throttle body covers, and a guard drawn for the older engines runs out of space right there. So we redesigned the whole guard to fit across the range, and we test fitted the redesign on the Bobber and the 2025 and newer Speed Twin 900.

The 3 Point Engine Guard is built with reinforced gussets and coped horizontal bars, and an oversized horizontal bar sits over the cylinder heads to keep them off the ground in a tip over. A spacer ships in the box as a separate part. It mounts at three points. Our 2 Point Engine Guards mount at two, and they are the option for the Scramblers. The 3 Point Engine Guard bolts on with no drilling or trimming, in 45 to 60 minutes, and it is made in the USA. An engine guard reduces the impact to your engine cases and cylinder heads in a tip over or a low speed drop. It does not guarantee they stay free of scratches or cosmetic damage.

Not yet. We have not fitted the 2025 and newer Speed Twin 1200 and 1200 RS, so they are off the list until we have.

What changed in the redesign?

Space. 2026 and newer Triumphs have less room between the cylinder head and the throttle body covers, so a guard built for the older bikes does not clear. Does it fit the Scramblers?

What does an engine guard do?

It sits outboard of the engine cases and cylinder heads. In a tip over or a low speed drop, the guard is the part that meets the ground first, which reduces the impact to your cases. It does not guarantee your cases stay free of scratches or cosmetic damage, and it is not designed for higher speed impacts.

How long does it take to install, and do I need to drill anything?

Plan on 45 to 60 minutes. It bolts on, with no drilling or trimming.
