A flat bench on an air-cooled Triumph, and a lot more frame to show.

You want the bike to look like somebody built it. The stock saddle is a tall, padded shape drawn to suit every rider and every distance at once, and it takes up most of the rear of the bike.

The Slammer is a flat bench in place of that. Slimmer and shorter, clean along the top, so more of the frame shows and the back end reads streamlined instead of bulky. The stock mounts stay and the stock key still works, so nothing on the bike is modified to get the look.

One thing said straight: this is not a lowering part and it does not drop the bike. Flattening the dip actually puts you about half an inch higher than stock.

Underneath is dual density foam over a medical grade gel core, wrapped in marine grade vinyl with Tuck N Roll pleats. Black or brown, same seat.

Install

Difficulty: beginner Time: 10 to 15 minutes Tools: your factory key

Turn the factory key and lift the stock seat off.
Set the Slammer onto the same factory mounts.
Press down at the rear until the latch engages, then check it is seated square.
Tug upward before you ride. It should not lift.

Before You Buy

This does not lower your bike. You sit about half an inch HIGHER. The Slammer is a looks part, not a lowering part. Flattening the dip in the stock seat raises where you sit. If you are already on tiptoes, factor that in.
It will not work with grab rails or luggage mounts. Anything bolted under the seat area has to come off first.
Air-cooled only, and mind the 2017 Scrambler. The rest of the range went liquid-cooled in 2017 and takes the 2.0. The Scrambler 900 stayed air-cooled through 2017 and takes this seat.
Brown reads darker in person than it does under studio lighting.

Does this seat lower my bike

No. The Slammer is a looks part, not a lowering part. What it does is make the back end slimmer and more streamlined, bolted on with nothing modified. You sit about half an inch HIGHER than stock, because the flat bench takes the dip out of the stock seat.

Does it fit my air-cooled Bonneville

It fits the T100, the Bonneville SE, the Thruxton 900 and the Scrambler 900. Check the fitment list above for your exact year before ordering.

I have a 2017 Scrambler, which seat do I need

This one. The Scrambler 900 stayed air-cooled through 2017 while the rest of the Triumph range moved to liquid cooling for that year. A 2017 Bonneville takes the 2.0, a 2017 Scrambler takes this seat.

Do I need tools to fit it

Only your factory key. The stock seat lifts off and the Slammer goes onto the same factory mounts.

Does it work with grab rails or luggage

No. The Slammer is built for a clean subframe, so anything mounted under the seat has to come off first.

Only lasted 4 years

I kind of expected such an expensive seat to last more than 4 years, on a bike that spends all her nights in the garage and that doesn't spend that much time under harsh weather.

Well made seat, but not for me

Looks like I’m the only person who preferred the stock seat. I bought this seat on impulse while talking with customer support. I was interested in the fender delete tail light, which as it turns out requires a new seat. So I spent the money thinking that it would probably feel worth the investment.

As it turns out, I don’t particularly enjoy the higher ride height (I’m 5’11”) and it feels like I’m sitting on a super hard ball that kind of tilts me forward until I hurt the throttle, then I feel like I may roll backwards. Versus the stock seat that felt like I sunk into the seat nearly.

The seat is made with great craftsmanship, and by the looks of it, most people prefer the different feel. I will end up getting a pan tail light and putting the fender and factory seat back on
