The Driveline Upgrade That Wakes Up the Scrambler 1200

Every Scrambler 1200 eventually tells you it's time. A chain that needs adjusting every other ride, hooked sprocket teeth, or the feeling that the 1200 could pull harder off the line. Stock gearing is a showroom compromise, not a setup built for how you actually ride.

This kit fixes both at once. Superlite's drilled and lightened sprockets strip rotating weight off the driveline, so the bike accelerates, brakes, and turns with less effort, while the sealed D.I.D. X ring chain locks factory lube in and grit out. Built to order, so you pick the gearing.

Chain: D.I.D. 525 ZVMX Super Street X ring sealed, rated to 1300cc. Available in Natural, Gold, or Black.
Front sprocket: Superlite XD chromoly steel, drilled. Stock 16T.
Rear sprocket: Superlite TEK5 black high carbon steel. Stock 44T.
Chain length: 110 links. Connecting link: D.I.D. rivet style.
Stock gearing: 16T front / 44T rear. Alternate front and rear sprocket sizes are available to change your gearing for more low end torque or taller highway cruising.
Fitment: Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC and X, 2019 to 2025.

Install

Difficulty: Moderate · Time: about 1 to 1.5 hrs · Tools: basic hand tools plus a chain breaking and riveting tool

Loosen the rear axle and chain adjusters.
Break and remove the old chain.
Swap the front and rear sprockets, torqued to spec.
Route the new chain, already cut to length, and rivet the D.I.D. connecting link.
Set chain slack, torque the axle, cycle the suspension, and recheck.

Not returnable once used: standard return policy applies, but once the kit is installed or the packaging is opened it cannot be returned.
You will need a chain tool to rivet the connecting link.
Gearing changes behavior: a smaller front or larger rear adds low end punch but raises cruising RPM and shifts your speedo reading.
