Since 1907, the Isle of Man TT has been running on closed public roads on a small island in the Irish Sea. Thirty-seven miles. Stone walls, a mountain section, and no runoff. What came out of that race was not just lap records. It was a precise understanding of what performance actually requires: light weight, responsive power delivery through every RPM range, and the sound that tells you the engine is working.
That is what we named this exhaust after.
The Thruxton 1200R, Thruxton 1200 RS, and Speed Twin 1200 are among the most capable machines in Triumph's modern classic lineup. The stock exhaust does not reflect that. Factory mufflers are heavy, quiet, and built for compliance. They suppress the natural character of the 1200cc twin in exactly the RPM range where these bikes are most alive. The factory had its reasons. You have yours.
The Two-Stage Core uses two baffles at two different diameters to control exhaust flow in sequence, maintaining backpressure through the low-to-mid-range where the Thruxton and Speed Twin live: corners, rolling throttle, city traffic. The Dimpled Baffle shapes a deep, performance exhaust note that brings out the natural voice of the 1200cc engine. At 2.4 pounds per silencer, it replaces stock mufflers at 8 to 10 pounds per side and sharpens how all three bikes move.
One exhaust. Three fitments. No compromise.
Key Features & Benefits
Dimpled Baffle — Produces a deep, performance exhaust note that brings out the natural voice of the 1200cc twin. The Builder Series TT is a loud exhaust by design and is not compatible with dB Killers. For a quieter option that is still mid-range tuned, the Predator Pro 2.0 uses a Louvre Core and is dB Killer compatible.
Two-Stage Core — Two-stage exhaust flow control preserves the low-to-mid-range torque that defines the 1200cc platform. Keeps the engine pulling strong through rolling throttle and corner exits, where perforated-core designs fall flat. The Two-Stage Core is exclusive to the Builder Series TT and is the reason dB Killers are not compatible with this design.
Significant Weight Savings — Each silencer weighs 2.4 pounds, replacing stock mufflers at 8 to 10 pounds per side. All three bikes sharpen immediately through corners and direction changes. Physics, not marketing.
20-Gauge 304 Stainless Steel — Corrosion-resistant and rated for sustained heat cycling. Brushed finish requires no polishing and develops character over time.
Garage-Built Aesthetic — Exposed welds and brushed stainless finish give the TT a raw, custom look. This is not a catalog part. It looks like the rider built it in the garage. A deliberate contrast to highly polished aftermarket options.
Direct Swap on Stock Hardware — Fits the stock headers and factory mounting points on all three models. No cutting, welding, or frame modification. No ECU tuning needed with the factory catalytic converter. Install it in an afternoon and ride.

Yes. The Builder Series TT mounts directly to stock headers and factory mounting points. No cutting, welding, or permanent modification is required. Select your fitment above for model-specific installation details.
Do I need an ECU remap after installing this exhaust?
On most fitments, no ECU tuning is required when the factory catalytic converter is in place. The Thruxton 900 is the exception — it requires a tune update to the 2-2 Arrow Map at an authorized Triumph dealer. Select your fitment above for model-specific details.
How loud is this exhaust compared to stock?
The Builder Series TT is a loud exhaust by design. The Dimpled Baffle shapes a deep, performance exhaust note that is significantly more present than stock. It is not compatible with dB Killers. For a quieter option that is still mid-range tuned and dB Killer compatible, the Predator Pro 2.0 uses a Louvre Core.
Will I lose mid-range power with this exhaust?
No. The Two-Stage Core is specifically designed to maintain backpressure in the low-to-mid-range. Unlike perforated core designs that sacrifice torque for top-end noise, the TT keeps the engine responsive where riders actually use it.
What is the weight savings over stock?
The Builder Series TT weighs 2.4 pounds per silencer (4.8 pounds per pair). Stock mufflers typically weigh 8 to 10 pounds per side. That is approximately 11 to 15 pounds removed from the rear of the bike.
What is the difference between the Builder Series TT and the Predator Pro 2.0?
Different core designs, different sounds. The TT uses a Two-Stage Core with Dimpled Baffle — a performance exhaust note, loud by design, not compatible with dB Killers. The Predator Pro 2.0 uses a Louvre Core built from 18-gauge stainless steel, which produces a deeper, more classic sound. The heavier gauge allows all welds to be fully finished, giving the Predator Pro its cleaner appearance. The Predator Pro 2.0 is dB Killer compatible. Choose the TT for a performance note at full volume. Choose the Predator Pro 2.0 for a deeper, classic sound with the option to dial it back.
Is the brushed stainless finish the only option?
Yes. The Builder Series TT is available in brushed stainless steel. This finish is low maintenance, develops character over time, and pairs with any build direction.
