Battery Box for Triumph Bonneville & Thruxton 900 (2001-2016)

Have just installed this intake kit on 900efi thruxton, it has transformed the bike. Had BC predators for years and they were an excellent upgrade, but this intake kit took it to another level of performance and sound. Be advised, this is a minimum 3 hour job, if you’re good....5 if you’re not. So take that into your cost computation. In addition, you’ll need to pay for a remap. So, actual cost to purchase kit and have installed will be around $600-800 USD. That being said, it’s absolutely worth it...mid and especially high rpm acceleration has increased noticeably, along within a nice induction growl. I rode my bike around for years, very happy with my slip ons, but that was a mistake...you need intake to fully take advantage of exhaust and you need a remap to take advantage of the hardware. Highly recommend.

I have a 2016 Thruxton with Arrow pipes and fitted this kit last night.

The printed instructions were only satisfactory, but the BC youtube how-to is excellent. Overall, the job took an hour and was very straightforward.

The only disappointment was that there was no collar supplied for the small crankcase filter (they are for the 2 large filters).

The bike is way more responsive, powerful through the mid-range and the exhaust note from my Arrows have gone from throaty to almost like a death metal vocalist. Well worth the money.

I purchased and installed the airbox removal kit as part of my performance upgrades. I followed the instructions BC has in their YouTube video, which are spot on. Everything went without a hitch. Installation took a little longer than expected because I didn't have a few things needed like multipurpose grease, anti seize and a 13mm box end wrench. So being prepared and having everything you need before you start will save time. Otherwise, like all BC bolt on parts, the quality is a 10, fit and finish is a 10, customer service is a 10.

I just completed the air box conversion install coupled with removing the AIS (air inject system) very simple process. Results so far, significant drop in running temperature, Idle speed can be screwed down to 7-8 rpm, over all the bike is very very smooth the jerky on / off throttle has completely gone, Is there an increase in performance....its not notable. I am having the bike go in for the first service this week, will be interesting to see if they re-map and if so will there be a significant difference in performance yet be be seen, either way I feel the money was well spent, one more thing I have a set of arrows two into one, so not only can the bike freely exhale it can now BREATH great products BC.

This airbox removal kit is a must for the Bonneville. I was on the fence after reading on forums that this didn't really do much for the bike and that it wasn't worth the headache blah blah... Just do yourself a favor and get it because the stock airbox is extremely restrictive. This along with the predator pros really do transform the bike to what it should have been like from the factory. I have not tuned the ECU yet but right off the bat I experienced an increase in power and the whole bike just sounds so much better with that induction growl.
