How does removing the OEM air box increase performance of your Triumph Motorcycle? The OEM air box routes air intake through the stock snorkel (located underneath the left-hand side cover), which then flows through the restricted air box to the carburetors or throttle bodies, depending on your model. Removing the stock restrictive air box allows you to install two high-flow K and N air filters directly onto the end of the carburetor or throttle bodies to ensure maximum airflow.

BENEFITS:
• Increased airflow means more horsepower
• Improved throttle response
• Designed to work with or without side covers

Note: This is the battery tray replacement portion of the Air Box Removal Kit; filters not included.

Replace with K&N air filters here or view our entire Air Box Removal Kit with Filters included here

Tuning Note: Airbox delete kits for carbureted models will come with a Jet Kit for rejetting, and a support brace (due to differences in manifolds on carbureted bikes). If your model is fuel-injected, we recommend getting your bike remapped. See our Tuning Guide for more details.

    WHAT'S INCLUDED:

BATTERY TRAY – Includes all the necessary mounting points to re-mount the
stock components. Each battery tray is laser cut from 6061 aluminum, CNC
bent, and tig welded. The battery tray is finished with a wrinkled black powder
coat to ensure durability and prevent oxidation.

Stainless Steel Mounting Hardware – The stock mounting hardware that is
prone to rust is replaced with stainless steel mounting hardware.

Jet Kit – A Performance Jet Kit is included with Carbureted Models (Pre – 2008).
The following jets are included: (2) 135 main jets, (2) 140 Main jets, (2) 42 pilot
jets, and (4) needle shims. See our tuning guide for more details about tuning
    your Triumph Motorcycle.

Carburetor Support Brace – A Carburetor Support Brace is included with
carbureted models (Pre-2008). Fuel Injected models do not require a support
brace due to the design of the manifolds and manifold rubbers.
Tuning Guide - EFI Models (2009-2016) must be re-remapped when removing
the factory air box. See our tuning guide for additional details on tunning your
    Triumph Motorcycle.

    INSTALLATION GUIDE

    Difficulty: Moderate
    Install Time: 60–120 min

The most challenging part of the installation is removing the OEM air box, which
requires removing the rear wheel. Once the OEM air box is removed, installing
the British Customs Battery Tray is an easy process that requires common tools.
The OEM battery and computer (EFI Models only) are secured in the battery tray
using the OEM battery strap. In addition, the Battery Tray includes the necessary
mounting points to re-mount the fuse box, rear brake reservoir, starter relay, turn
relay, and starter solenoid. To help with installation, we've developed a video to
walk you through the installation process. If you have any questions, we are
    here to help.
