Triumph Dart Flyscreen Buyer's Guide

On a Modern Classic you are basically riding a "naked" bike. There are two ways to look at this... you are one with the elements or you are exposed to the elements. However you look at it, you may enjoy the benefits of a low-profile, high-quality windshield from Dart Flyscreens. Dart Flyscreens has been making their bike-specific windshields for over 20 years. Their shields are made of high-impact automotive grade Makrolon® polycarbonate screen with their proprietary DARTEC hardcoating. The are extremely abrasion resistant, chemical & UV resistant and feature a clean, glass-like finish that is easy to clean. We recently put this to the test on our trip to Oregon for the One Moto Show.

Dart has four styles of windshield to choose from. All feature their DARTIC hardcoating and come equipped with model-specific brackets that make installation easy. Their Classic Flyscreen has been around since 1995. In later years they have adapted this shield to offer more surface area (The Marlin Flyscreen) and also a much smaller, low-profile shield (The Piranha Flyscreen). The Dart Classic flyscreen was born in 1995. Evoking the spirit of 1950s British road racers, its minimalist style and remarkable performance made it an instant hit. By creating a cone of still air behind it, the flyscreen makes real-world riding more comfortable.

Very similar to the Classic flyscreen but with 56% more surface area than the Classic, the Marlin is designed to fill the gap between the minimalist flyscreen and a full touring screen. The Marlin takes its styling cues directly from the 1970s.

Based on the best-selling Classic flyscreen, the Piranha blends function with a much lower profile look in a smaller, more discreet package. If you already own a Classic Flyscreen, the Piranha uses the same bracketry so you can switch between them easily.

The Manta is a sharp, sleek screen for select Street Triple, Speed Triple, and Thunderbird models. Like the Classic flyscreen, it's designed to improve comfort at highway speeds without being obtrusive while the sporty design complements the lines of the bike.
