Tools You'll Need

  • 5mm hex bit
  • 6mm hex bit
  • 12mm wrench
  • Torque wrench
  • Small flathead screwdriver or pick

Torque Specs

Fastener Torque Tool Thread prep
Block-off mounting screw 24 Nm 5mm hex / 12mm wrench

Step 1: Remove the Passenger Peg (0:26)

Pry off the retaining clip with a small flathead screwdriver or pick, then push the pin up. There's a small ball bearing and spring inside — keep a hand underneath so you don't lose them. Remove the peg with a 6mm hex bit and 12mm wrench.

Step 2: Install the Block Off Plate (1:22)

Push the block off plate's screw back through the mounting hole and reinstall the nut you removed earlier. Tighten with a 5mm hex and 12mm wrench, then torque to 24 Nm.

Step 3: Repeat on the Other Side (2:03)

Same process: remove the clip, pin, and peg (6mm hex, 12mm wrench), install the block off plate and nut, then torque to 24 Nm with the 5mm hex and 12mm wrench.
