STEP BY STEP GUIDE
Left Side - Handlebar Removal1. Using a 4mm Allen remove the factory bar end
2. Using a 5mm Allen remove the factory bar end mirror
3. Using a Phillips Screw Driver remove the (2) bolts that secure the handlebar switch housing to the handlebar. Save the (2) bolts for installation.
4. Using a 4mm Allen remove the (2) bolts that secure the control clamp to the handlebar. Save control clamp and bolts for installation. Let the clutch perch and switch housing hang along the forks.
5. Remove the grip
Pro Tip: Use compressed air to remove the grip
Right Side - Handlebar Removal
1. Using a 4mm Allen remove the factory bar end
2. Using a 5mm Allen remove the factory bar end mirror
3. Using a 5mm Allen remove the (2) bolts that secure the control clamp to the handlebar. Save control clamp and (2) bolts for installation. Keep the master cylinder reservoir upright to prevent introducing air into the braking system.
4. Using a Phillips Screw Driver remove the (2) bolts that secure the switch housing to the handlebar. Save the (2) bolts and mounting plate for installation
5. Using a Phillips Screw Driver loosen the (2) bolts that secure the Throttle Housing to the handlebar. You should be able to slide the throttle housing back and forth on the bar. The throttle housing will be removed in the next step.
6. Using a 6mm Allen remove the (4) bolts that secure the handlebar clamps. save the (4) boots and clamp for installation. slide the throttle assembly off the end of the handlebar. and remove the handlebar.
