Either way, we’ve got you covered. If your bike is carbureted, upgrading your pilot jets is the first step. By upgrading and adjusting the pilot jet, you change the engine’s performance levels and also its fuel economy. We suggest doing this with either Keihin Pilot Jets or a CVK Jet Kit. If you really want to milk your engine for all it’s worth, upgrading your carburetors themselves to either FCR 39mm carbs or CR Special Racing carbs will significantly boost your power output. Complete your upgraded performance setup with a new exhaust system and an air injection removal kit to get everything your engine has to offer.
If your bike is fuel injected, you’ll need an airbox removal kit, air injection removal kit, and a Dynojet Power Commander to take care of the internals. Combine those with a new exhaust system and get that baby Dynotuned, and you’re looking at a serious performance increase. A Power Commander is like a computer for your engine, and it determines how efficiently your engine runs. When you install a Power Commander on your bike and get it Dynotuned, the tuner will create a custom fuel map specifically for your bike and its setup so that you can get the absolute most out of your engine. That custom fuel map is then downloaded to your Power Commander, completely revamping your engine.
For actually tuning your engine, whether it’s carbureted or fuel injected, we recommend taking it to a professional to have them dial it in for optimal results.
