First bike?
Honda crf250x.
What is your background?
I have always been drawn to bikes, the noise, the smell and custom painted helmets. A lot of my interests go back to my pops, he has always been around bikes and hot rods and in the industry for as long as I can remember. He had a chopper shop for a while and then was service manager/press fleet manager at SoCal Triumph/ Ducati in Brea, CA for like 10ish years. That’s when I really got turned on to Triumphs. I bought my first street bike around that time- Daytona 675. From there went to a Thruxton that I was starting to dig into and customize when it was hit TWICE in two weeks while parked at work. So after many full blown meltdowns I bought my 2015 Scrambler and have been tweaking little things here and there since and learning lots. I have been fortunate lately to be working some special events and commercial photo and video shoots with Indian Motorcycles. From camera bike operator to modeling (haha) and doing some stuff with their stunt team in the side-car. Such a blast and a rad group of talented individuals from photographers and press team to their stunt team. Those guys are maniacs.
What is your inspiration for your bike/build?
I love simple bikes. Clean lines and getting rid of unnecessary shit. We are fortunate enough to live in a era that we have photos and videos from all over the world of guys and gals creating amazing motorcycles at our fingertips 24/7. I pull inspiration from all over the place from old choppers and hotrods to Motogp bikes and surfboards. But keep it simple and clean. My buddy Todd Eagan from GTmotorcycles has been a huge help with this bike. He and I met on a photoshoot and is one of the nicest and most talented guys in the game. He has helped a lot with getting my bike on the right track and educating me.
Any other inspirations?
Photography, Surfing, Rock n Roll. I am inspired by anyone doing their own thing. Not following the pack. Searching for happiness not a paycheck. My brother inspires me a lot. He is a half blind/half handsome musician and gets paid to travel and play music.. thats the fucking dream. my Gma also inspires me. She has the greatest sense of humor and outlook on life. My favorite quote of hers, “Eat your broccoli it will make your peepee grow."
What are your goals in the coming year?
umm.. Don’t die in traffic. Haha, Keep working on my bike, new paint, suspension..etc. getting my 64 Falcon Wagon dialed in, continue to search for uncrowded surf, take photos, ride bikes and drink good beer.
Goal for life :
200mph on a bike….and don’t die in traffic.
