The British Customs X-Pipe for select Triumph liquid cooled modern classics will allow for the replacement of the factory installed CAT. Weighing in at 1.9 lbs this MUST-HAVE performance upgrade saves 3.8 lbs just by removing the CAT. A free flowing exhaust plus the weight savings puts more power at the wheel that you will instantly feel.

Features:

  • Crafted from 304 Stainless Steel, mandrel bent, cut then TIG Welded all in Gardena, California
  • 1.9 lbs (3.8lb savings over stock catalytic converter)
  • Uses stock locating pin and left side frame bolt for factory fit
  • Offers more growl and power while reducing heat and weight

Asterisk (*) note: Some 2021+ models may not work with the X-Pipe Exhaust as the intermediate/mid-pipe is now welded onto the catalytic converter (as shown in photo below). To verify, check under your bike from the front of the frame to confirm if your intermediate/mid-pipe is welded on or fastened by a band clamp.

Thruxton RS note: The X-Pipe for Thruxton RS models will include both left/right intermediate/mid-pipes.

NOT AVAILABLE FOR SALE IN STATE OF CALIFORNIA

Each state has its own emissions and inspection requirements.  In California, this is managed by the Air Resources Board (CARB for short).  CARB has determined that certain aftermarket motorcycle parts are not legal for sale or highway use in the state of California. Items subject to this determination include certain exhausts, fuel controllers, and other parts that might affect a vehicle's emissions.

British Customs has determined to the best of its ability which items are CARB approved and which items are not - items that are not CARB approved are not able to be shipped to addresses in California or used for on-road use in California.

Items that are not CARB approved may still be utilized in the state of California, provided that they are not used on a public road (i.e. only used on a closed course or offroad).  At this time, British Customs cannot verify if a product is used for closed circuit or off-road use and cannot ship to addresses in California.

Sound is great! Install took about 2 hours but I enjoy wrenching so found it fun (make sure you have t-55 bit. Had to take quick run to parts store). I'd say weight savings and power increase are noticeable. Only issue is that exhaust spits out a little black smoke which I believe means it might be running a little rich. I found this strange since I followed the recommended process of leaving the engine running until cooling fan turned on before riding, which I was told allows the ECU to learn of airflow changes and adjust itself. Would be great to hear from someone from BC about this! Even if remap is needed I'd still say it's the best product I've installed on my t-120.

Install was straight forward.

Sound.

At idle is way better.

Poking around and deccel is not as good. I suspect it has to do with no cat causing pressure. The old sound was like a jungle cat. I am not 100% unhappy about it as the overall rest is fine. (how much are you decceling?)

At throttle. SOUNDS GREAT!

Performance. Hard to tell. Butt dyno is not calibrated. But feels more lively, on tap when I throttle up.

Aesthetics. Well. It was not shown prior that you would NOT be using the front of the two black heatshields. For some this may drive you not to get it. I would have like to known. (its not ugly but not original looking) I bought it on the British Customs reputation and slightly lower price. I feel they have delivered.

Awesome improvement! I paired with the drag pipe so I cannot best verify its contribution to the better sound but its loud and angry and...well, awesome. Only 4 out of 5 for the following two reasons: 1. there are no mounting points for the front cat heatshield on for a 2017 1200 thruxton standard, so that goes away unless buy or fabricate an alternative. 2. For the 1200 thruxton you cannot run this with the stock cat-back exhaust (x-pipe is a straight tube but the stock pipes mount to the stock cat via bent flanges)..so you must run a different cat-back exhaust or mod your stock pipes. I wouldn't go back but is would be good info up front.

Just fitted this along with Predator Pro's. The weight saving is massive and I'm sure I can feel it but maybe I'm imagining it. It is a pain in the behind to install but that is down to Triumph, so there isn't much you can do about it. It makes the bike run much cooler. Well worth the money, time and effort.
