Triumph Street Scrambler (2017-2022)

The liquid cooled, 900cc parallel twin is taken from the 2016 Street Twin, cranking out 55 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 59 ft/lbs of torque at a low 2850 rpm. Overall dry weight is 454lbs(206kg), which is down 17lbs(8kg) from the previous model. The slightly smaller, 3.2 gallon tank, removable passenger footpegs, and removable passenger seat make for the possibility of a streamlined look. For long distance or overnight trips, optional luggage racks can be attached in place of the passenger’s seat.

This newest series comes with a chassis of its own, locating the bear-trap foot pegs slightly forward from previous models. Improved placement and design make it easier to stand when needed and ensure grip when riding in wet conditions. The dedicated chassis boasts lengthier twin KYB rear shocks, raising the flat solo bench seat’s height to 31.2 inches(792 mm). The 17” rear and 19'' front wheels are equipped with Nissin 2-piston floating caliper front and rear ABS.

The single-dial display conveys a lot of information in one place. While the speedometer is analog, an LCD screen shows gear position and fuel level. From here, the rider also has the option to view speed, odometer, two tripmeters, average and instant fuel consumption, and time. Using the display, riders can also switch-off ABS and traction control for off road conditions.

Through the years, Triumph tends to update their bikes, so we will list the changes per year below. The only significant updates thus far took place in 2019 and 2021.
