3 - Remove the gas tank
4 - Release the (2) fasteners that secure the cable guide on the left-hand side of the frame. Note the routing of the front direction indicator harness for installation.
5 - Disconnect the factory turn signals from the main harness. Located on the headstock of the bike and remove the rubber band securing them to the clutch cable.
Note: The routing of the turn signal wires and the position of the rubber band for installation.
6 - Remove fastener from the left & right factory turn signal mount.
7 - Remove the left & right factory turn signal and factory turn signal mount by spreading the turn signal mount.
8 - Install left & right BC Retro Turn Signals onto the factory turn signal mount using the supplied hardware. When installed the pinch bolt screw should be facing down.
Note: The BC Retro Turn Signal pinch bolt will have to be loosened to gain access to the mounting screws
9 - Install the left & right BC Retro Turn Signal on to the fork. Route the wires on the inside of the Factory Turn Signal Mount.
10 - Position the BC Retro Turn Signal and factory turn signal mount and tighten the fastener to 5 Nm
11 - Route the direction indicator harness as noted in Step 4 and connect it to the main harness within the headstock. The main harness right-hand direction indicator is marked with red tape.
12 - Install the rubber band securing the harness to the clutch cable
13 - Install the cable guide with (2) Fasteners and tighten to 3 Nm
14 - Install and connect the battery and test turn signals. If the taillight and /or brake light do not function properly verify the connection and check fuses. If you need additional support call 877-999-BRIT for Support
15 - Install the gas tank

1. Using the ignition key remove the seat. Turn the key counterclockwise
2. Using an 8mm wrench and 10mm socket, remove the (2) bolts that secure the fender to the frame. The 10mm socket is used to remove the (2) nuts located on the underside of the fender.
3. Using an 8mm socket remove the (2) bolts that secure the fender the frame. Support the fender it will drop down and only be supported by the (2) bolts located on the underside of the fender.
5. Disconnect the running light connector and remove the license plate assembly
6. Using a 3mm Allen remove the (5) bolts that secure the wiring cover to the license plate assembly.
7. Using a T15 Torx remove the (2) bolts that secure the license plate light and remove the license plate light. Save the license plate light and metal bracket for installation.
7. Using an 8mm socket tighten the (2) bolts that secure the fender to the frame
8. Using an 8mm and 10mm secure the (2) bolts and (2) nuts that secure the fender to the frame

1. Remove the Seat
2. Disconnect the battery, (-) black terminal first
3. Using a 4 mm Allen, remove the (1) fastener that secures the right-hand handlebar end weight.
4. Using a T20 Torx, remove the (1) fastener that secures the brake light switch and bracket.
5. Using a 20 Torx, remove the (2) fasteners that secure the right-hand side switch housing.
6. Using a 20 Torx, remove the (2) fasteners that secure the twist grip position sensor.
7. Using a 5mm Allen, remove the (2) fasteners that secure the master cylinder to the handlebars and support in an upright position.
8. Remove the twist grip from the handlebar. By sliding it off the end of the handlebar. The twist grip position sensor will remain on the handlebar. See How to Remove the Handlebar.

1. Use a 4mm Allen, loosen the Retro Turn Signal Pinch bolt. To allow the turn signal to rotate to give access to mounting bolt.
2. Remove the nut and lock washer from the Retro Turn Signal Adapter.
4. Using a 12mm socket, remove the (1) faster and (1) washer that secure the headlight ear to the headlight bowl and pull the headlight ear away form the headlight bowl.
5. Install the Retro Turn Signal and Adapter onto the headlight ear. Tighten (1) fastener, (1) lock washer and (1) nut using a 4mm Allen and 10mm socket.
6. Route the connectors into the headlight bowl
6. Using a 12 mm socket, install (1) fastner and (1) washer that secure the headlight ear to the headlight bowl.
7. Connect the BC Retro Turn Signal connectors to the main harness.
Note: The Main harness connector is marked with red tape for right side. The left side is unmarked.

How to Install BC Retro Turn Signal Front Factory Location - Right Side.
1. Use a 4mm Allen, loosen the Retro Turn Signal Pinch bolt. To allow the turn signal to rotate to give access to mounting bolt.
2. Remove the nut and lock washer from the Retro Turn Signal Adapter.
4. Using a 12mm socket, remove the (1) faster and (1) washer that secure the headlight ear to the headlight bowl and pull the headlight ear away form the headlight bowl.
5. Install the Retro Turn Signal and Adapter onto the headlight ear. Tighten (1) fastener, (1) lock washer and (1) nut using a 4mm Allen and 10mm socket.
6. Route the connectors into the headlight bowl
6. Using a 12 mm socket, install (1) fastner and (1) washer that secure the headlight ear to the headlight bowl.
7. Connect the BC Retro Turn Signal connectors to the main harness.
Note: The Main harness connector is marked with red tape for right side. The left side is unmarked.

(+) Main Hanrness Wire Color ( Green with While Line) Turn Signal Wire (Black)
8. Using T20 Torx, install the (2) fasters that secure the headlight wiring organizer.
9. Connect the headlight connector and position lamp connector and install the headlight onto the headlight bowl.
Note: At the top there is a latch that needs to engage to properly engage.
10. Using 1 5mm Allen, install the (2) fasters that secure the headlight to headlight bowl.
11. Using 12mm socket, install the (2) fasters that secure headlight ears to headlight bowl and tighten to __ Nm.
11. Turn the bike on and make verity the turn signals operate correctly.

Shown on a 2019 Triumph Street Scrambler
1. Remove the seat
2. Disconnect the Battery
3. Remove the rear fender
4. Remove the (2) nuts (2) lock washers form the Cateye Taillight.
5. Secure the Cateye Taillight to the fender eliminator underplate bracket using a 6mm socket/wrench.
6. Route the Cateye Taillight electrical connector through the grommet on the fender eliminator underplate bracket
7. Remove the (2) M5 Nylock Nuts and (2) M5 washers from the Fender Eliminator Underplate Bracket.
8. Using the (2) M5 Nylock Nuts and (2) M5 washer removed in Step 7 secure the license plate bracket using an 8mm wrench or socket.
Note: The mounting holes are slotted to allow adjustment of the License Plate Bracket. We recommend positioning the plate as close to Cateye Taillight as possible.
9. Install the supplied weather stripping to the Fender Eliminator Bracket to provide a seal between the frame rails and the Fender Eliminator Under Plate.
10. Remove the (2) factory flanged sleeves and (2) factory M6 mourning screws from the front two mounting points for the rear fender located on the sub-frame.
11. Install the supplied (2) M10 washer onto the flanged Sleeve
12. Install the (2) M10 Washer and Flanges into the front two fender mounting points.
13. Install the Fender Eliminator Assembly using the factory M6 fender mounting hardware and the supplied (4) M6 Fender Washers and (4) M6 Nylock Washers using an M10 socket/wrench and T30 Torx and torque to __ Nm.
14. Install the heat shrink onto the Fender Eliminator Harness. Connect the Cateye Taillight to the harness.
Note: On the Street Scrambler mount under the alternate seat latch crossbar
15. Use a heat gun to shrink the heat shrink around the connection and use the supplied zip ties to secure the seat latch release cable to the Fender Eliminator Under plate bracket. Zip tie Cat eye Taillight wiring to the Seat Release Cable.
16. Connect the Fender Eliminator Harness to the bikes main harness
18. Install Shock Mount Turn Signals or Frame Mounted Turn Signals *if purchased
19. Reconnect the battery
20. Install the seat

1. Remove the Seat
2. Using an M5 Allen remove the (2) bolts that secure the rear heat shield to the factory slip-on exhaust.
3. Using a __mm Allen remove the (1) fastener that secures heat shield bracket. Pull the heat shield toward the rear of the bike to remove, save the two rubber grommets.
4. Using an M5 Allen remove the (2) bolts that secure the center heat shield to the factory slip-on exhaust
5. Using an M5 Allen loosen the top exhaust clamp
Note the position of the exhaust clamps prior to releasing them. Return them to the same position during installation
6. Using an M5 Allen loosen the bottom exhaust clamp
7. Using an M12 Socket remove the bottom (1) bolt and (1) washer that secures the exhaust to the frame. Located on the underside of the fender.
8. Using an M12 Socket remove the upper (1) bolt and (1) washer that secures the exhaust to the frame. Located directly in front of the right-hand shock absorber.
Note: Support the exhaust during removal
9. Using a 12m socket remove (1) Fastener (2) rubber bushings and (1) shouldered washer. Note the position of the shouldered washer for installation.
10. Remove the Factory exhaust by pulling the factory exhaust towards the rear of the bike. Save the components, they may be needed for installation.

1. Remove the gas tank (see How to Remove Gas Tank)
2. Remove the Rear Wheel (see How to Remove the Rear Wheel)
3. Remove the Rear Swing Arm (see How to Remove the Swingarm)
4. Remove the right side cover by pulling the side cover away from the bike.
5. Bleed the front brakes
5. Using a Phillips screwdriver remove the master cylinder cover and verify there is no brake fluid in the front master cylinder reservoir.
6. Using a 14mm socket remove the banjo bolt from the front master cylinder. Discard the two crush washers.
Note: Have a rag ready to catch any brake fluid that may leak out. Brake fluid is harmful to the painted parts.
7. Remove the rubber strap that secures the brake line to the switch wiring. Save the rubber strap for installation.
8. Using a T25 Torx, remove the (2) bolts that secure wire guide to the frame. Note the routing of the wiring, clutch cable and brake cable for installation.
9. Route the brake line to the left-hand side of the bike.
Note: The routing of the brake line for installation
10. Disconnect the hard brake line from the clip located on the right side of the frame
11. Using a 5mm Allen remove the (2) bolt and (2) inserts that secure the coolant cover. Save the hardware for installation.
12. Using a 12mm remove the banjo bolt from the ABS unit. Discard the crush washers.
13. Using a T30 Torx remove the (1) bolt that secures the evaporative canister. Save hardware for installation.
14. Using a 3mm remove the (2) bolts and (2) washers that secure the evaporative canister, located on the right side of the motorcycle. Save hardware for installation
15. Move the evaporative canister out of the way.
16. Route the brake line from the ABS unit to the left side of the bike and remove the hard brake line.
Note: Be careful to not bend the line excessively.

HOW TO INSTALL MID PIPE - LEFT SIDE
1 - Install the BC Performance Tip Inlet into the Catalytic Converter. Be careful to not damage the gasket.
3 - Using a 10mm wrench, tighten the exhaust clamp. Note: pull on the performance tip to make sure properly seated. If the performance tip moves around continue to tighten.
4 - Using a 5mm Allen install the heat shield using the factory clamp and bolt. Note: The header has a grove where the heat shield positioning pin rest.
5 - Using a 6mm Allen and 12mm Wrench install the passenger peg mounting bracket. The Performance Tips do not use the rear passenger peg to mount the exhaust. You will need to replace the factory mounting screw with the M8x25 socket cap screw. The factory locknut will be reused (see How to Remove Passenger Peg and Clevis)
6 - Install the Foot Peg Retaining Plate onto the Passenger Peg Mount
7 - Install the spring and ball bearing into the foot peg
8 - Install the Foot Peg with spring and ball bearing into the Passenger Peg Mount. Be careful to not loose the ball bearing or spring during installation.
9 - Install the Foot Peg Pivot Pin through the Passenger Peg Foot Peg Mount and Foot Peg.
10 - Install the Circlip onto the Passenger Pivot pin
11 - The entire exhaust system should be wiped down with rubbing alcohol to remove oil and fingerprints before starting the motorcycle. This will help prevent tarnishing of the finish after the exhaust is heated up.
1 - Install the BC Performance Tip Inlet into the Catalytic Converter. Be careful to not damage the gasket. Note: Make sure the sleeve is installed into the sub-frame.
2 - Using a 12mm Socket and 12mm Wrench secure the BC Performance Tip to the frame using the factory hardware (1) bolt, (1) washer, (1) locking nut, and (1) Sleeve.
3 - Using a 10mm wrench tight the exhaust clamp. Note: Verify the performance tip is properly secured by pulling the performance pipe away form the bike. If the performance tip moves continue to tighten.
4 - Using a 5mm Allen install the heat shield using the factory clamp and bolt. Note: The header has a grove where the heat shield positioning pin rest.
5 - Using a 6mm Allen and 12mm Wrench install the passenger peg mounting bracket. The Performance Tips do not use the rear passenger peg to mount the exhaust. You will need to replace the factory mounting screw with the M8x25 socket cap screw. The factory locknut will be reused (see How to Remove Passenger Peg and Clevis)
6 - Install the Foot Peg Retaining Plate onto the Passenger Peg Mounting Bracket.

2. Disconnect and remove the battery

6. Disconnect and remove the brake line from the junction block located on the right side of the frame
7. Disconnect and remove the clutch cable. Use an 18mm wrench to release the tension from the clutch cable
8. Remove the Bar End and the Mirrors from the left and right side of the bike.
9. Remove (2) fasteners that secure the left hand switch housing to the clutch lever assembly. Set aside the (2) fasteners for installation.
10. Remove the (2) fasteners that secure the clutch housing to the handlebar and the (2) rubber bands that secure the wiring to the handlebar. Let the clutch lever assembly rest along the forks. Save the (2) fasteners and (2) rubber bands for installation.
11. Remove the left hand grip
12. Remove the (2) fasteners that secure the right hand switch assembly from the Front Master Cylinder/Throttle Assembly
13. Re-route the wiring to accommodate for new handlebars. The handlebar switch connectors are located on the left-hand side of the frame. Remove the (4) connectors from the mounting tabs and slide the wiring forward.
14. Loosen the (2) fasteners that secure the front Master Cylinder/Throttle assembly to the handlebar and remove the (2) rubber band that secures the wiring to the bar.
15. Remove the Front Master Cylinder/Throttle Housing off the end of the bar.
Note: Disconnecting the electrical connector will ensure the Master Cylinder/Throttle Assembly comes off without stressing the wiring.
16. Remove the (4) fasteners that secure the top handlebar clamp and remove the factory handlebar.
If you purchased BC Four Bolt Handlebar Clamps and/or Spacers see the BC Four Bold Handlebar Clamp install guide. Otherwise, continue to the next step.
17. Install BC Tracker Bars and set the desired handlebar position. Install the factory top handlebar clamp and tighten the (2) front fasteners first to 24 Nm. Then secure the (2) rear fasteners to 24 Nm.
18. Install the left-hand grip removed in Step 11 and install the Clutch Lever Assembly.
19. Install the clutch lever assembly and secure the (2) fastener that secures the clutch lever assembly
20. Install the cluch lever assembly switch housing and secure the (2) fasteners removed in Step 10
21. The Front Master Cylinder/Throttle Assembly has a built in positioning pin to prevent the Front Master Cylinder/Throttle Assembly from twisting. The Tracker Bars have to be drilled, install the Front Master Cylinder/Throttle Assembly in the desired position and mark the handlebar.
22. Remove the Front Master Cylinder/Throttle Assembly and Drill the BC Tracker Bar. It's recommended you use a center punch to prevent to mark the bar and prevent drill bit from wandering or use a drill guide as shown below. (available here)
23. Install the Front Master Cylinder/Throttle Assembly onto the BC Tracker Bar. Make sure the positioning pin aligns with the drilled hole and secure the (2) fasteners to 12 Nm, upper one first.
24. Install the Front Master Cylinder/Throttle Assembly Switch Housing and secure with (2) fasteners removed in Step 12 the right-hand switch housing
25. Install the Tracker Brake Line using Banjo Bolt Removed in Step 5 and the supplied crush washers. Note the position of the BC Tracker Brake Line.
26. Install the Tracker Brake Line Adapter using a 9/16 wrench. Support the factory junction block to prevent damage to the junction block when tightening. With the Tracker Brake Line Adapter installed, disconnect the junction block from the frame using a T20 Torx.
27. Connect the Tracker Brake Line to the Factory Junction Block and tighten. Support Tracker Brake Line Adapter when installing the Tracker Brake Line to prevent damage to the factory junction block
28. Install the Tracker Brake Line to the frame using a T30 Torx and tighten. Route and position the BC Tracker Brake Line in the factory mounting clips.
29. Fill and Bleed the brake system and check for leaks at the Banjo Bolt and junction block.
30. Install and route the clutch cable. Note: An 18mm wrench can be used to release tension from the clutch lifter arm to ease the removal of the clutch cable.
31. Loosen the Clutch Wire Guide and reposition the clutch wire guide, so the clutch cable is properly routed.
32. Fit the gas tank and connect the (2) electrical connectors (1) fuel connector and (1) vent line to the tank and secure them to the frame using a __ mm socket and tighten.
33.Unsupported the bike and move the handlebars left to right to make sure that the brake and clutch cable doesn't interfere with the operation.

Note: This guide is suitable for those wishing to install aftermarket handlebars on the Triumph Street Twin, Street Scrambler, and Bonneville Speed Twin.
Thank you for choosing British Customs. These British Customs products have been designed and tested to fit multiple Triumph Motorcycles based on the diameter of the installed handlebar. Clamps are available in three diameters to accommodate multiple applications.
The following installation is performed on a 2019 Triumph Speed Twin using the Retro Bar Kit for Speed Twin. This kit includes a 7/8 Inch Handlebar and Clamps. The steps for an oversized bar are the same.
Completely read all these instructions before installing the British Customs product to become thoroughly familiar with the features and the installation process.
1. Remove the Handlebars (See How to Remove Handlebars)
2. Remove the Brake Line *If New Brake Included (See How to Remove ABS Brake Line - Liquid Cooled)
3. Install new ABS Brake Line *If New Brake Line Included (See How to Install BC ABS Brake LIne - Liquid Cooled)
4. Remove the Handlebar Clamps *If Four Bolt Clamps Purchased
5. Install BC Four Bolt Handlebar Clamps *If Four Bolt Clamps Purchased (see Install Four Bolt Handlebar Clamps)..
6. Install Handlebar. Slide the throttle assembly onto the end of the bar and tighten the handlebar clamp tops using a 6mm Allen. Tighten the (2) forward bolts until they bottom out. Then tighten the (2) rear bolts to and torque to 26 Nm.
7. Set the Throttle Assembly and Right Hand Switch Housing to the desired position. Note that the Switch Housing and Throttle Assembly line up.
Note: The Throttle Assembly and Right Hand Switch Housing are pinned and index into the handlebar to prevent twisting during operation. The handlebar has to be drilled to accommodate the pins.
TIP: If using bar-end mirrors, position the Throttle Assembly .5 inch from the end of the handlebar.
8. Remove the right-hand Switch from the handlebar and mark where the Throttle Housing Pin position.
9. Using a Phillips Screw Driver remove the (2) bolts that secure the Throttle Assembly and mark the handlebar.
Pro Tip: Use a paint pen or nail polish to mark the pin and press assemble the throttle housing to mark the bar.
10. Using a 7/32 drill bit, drill the handlebar. The drill location was marked in Step 6.
Pro Tip: Use a Center Punch to mark the hole prior to drilling to prevent the drill from wandering
11. Using a Phillips Screw Driver tighten the (2) bolts that secure the Throttle Housing
12. Line up the Switch Housing with the Throttle Assembly.
13. Mark the handlebar for the Switch Housing Pin is suppose to go.
Pro Tip: Use a paint pen or nail polish to mark the pin and press assemble the Switch Assembly to to mark the handlebar.
14. Loosen the throttle assembly and slide towards the end of the handlebar and drill the handlebar.
Pro Tip Use a Center Punch to mark the hole prior to drilling to prevent the drill from wandering.
15. Reposition the Throttle Assembly. Using a Phillips screwdriver, tighten the (2) bolts the secure the Throttle Housing.
16. Install the Switch Housing. Using a Phillips screwdriver, tighten the (2) bolts that secure the right-hand switch housing.
17. Install the Brake Perch. Using a 5mm Allen tighten the (2) bolts that secure the Brake Perch. Tighten to 12 Nm
18. Position the left-hand Switch Housing to the desired position. Mark the handlebar
Pro Tip Use a paint pen or nail polish to mark the pin and press assemble the Switch Assembly to mark the handlebar.
19. Using a 7/32 Drill Bit drill the handlebar.
Pro Tip: Use a Center Punch to mark the hole prior to drilling to prevent the drill from wandering.
20. Install the left-hand Switch Housing. Using a Phillips Screw Driver, tighten the (2) bolts that secure the left-hand switch housing.
21. Install the Clutch Perch. Using a 5mm Allen tighten the (2) bolts that secure the clutch perch and tighten to 8 Nm.
22. Install new Clutch Cable *If Kit includes a clutch cable.
Preform a safety check, verify the handlebars, Clutch Perch and Brake Perch are mounted securely. If any of the components can be moved by hand. Re-torque the clamps that secure them the the handlebar. Verify that cables to not bind when the handlebars are turned all the way to the left and right.
